Sahasrara, which means 1000 petalled lotus, is generally considered to be the chakra of pure consciousness, within which there is neither object nor subject. When the female kundalini Shakti energy rises to this point, it unites with the male Shiva energy, and a state of liberating samadhi is attained. Symbolized by a lotus with one thousand multi-coloured petals, it is located either at the crown of the head, or above the crown of the head. Sahasrara is represented by the colour white and it involves such issues as inner wisdom and the death of the body.
The Sahasrara Chakra symbolizes detachment from illusion; an essential element in obtaining supramental higher consciousness of the truth that one is all and all is one.
Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra
From Hindu and Buddhist perspective, the chakras represent represent strong vibrations that cause us to experience the world as it appears to us. once we are able to understand the meaning of our existence and be prepared to take our path to destiny, we will enter the “Path of Illumination” and feel the cosmic energy that power our consistent flowing chakras, learn and use.
Its role may be envisioned somewhat similarly to that of the pituitary gland, which secretes hormones to communicate to the rest of the endocrine system and also connects to the central nervous system via the hypothalamus. According to author Gary Osborn, the thalamus is thought to have a key role in the physical basis of consciousness and is the ‘Bridal Chamber’ mentioned in the Gnostic scriptures. Sahasrara’s inner aspect deals with the release of karma, physical action with meditation, mental action with universal consciousness and unity, and emotional action with “beingness.”
In Tibetan buddhism, the point at the crown of the head is represented by a white circle, with 32 downward pointing petals. It is of primary importance in the performance of phowa, or consciousness projection after death, in order to obtain rebirth in a Pure Land. Within this chakra is contained the White drop, or Bodhicitta, which is the essence of masculine energy.
The 7.Chakra, called a crown, which equals the highest chakra, is the seat of our consciousness and unity represents our level of development on the mental level. Blockages in this area often reach back to the pre-natal phase of our being, or in past lives and we usually are not aware of these. Usually these are expressed in fears whose cause we do not know or have forgotten, and thus prevent the harmonic oscillation and ultimately the opening of the crown chakra.
The citrine¬†Citrine "harbinger of light" and "stone of immortality" will help to provide a path to the 7.Chakra which the Romans, especically their soldiers, identified and revered as “harbinger of light” and “stone of immortality”.
Citrine ensures that we are aware of the fears, compulsions and blockages in our hearts and have the courage to face and address these problems.
Of further assistance is the colorless tourmaline, Colourless Tourmaline

which will identify envy, jealousy and hatred in us and strengthens confidence in our actions to deal with these issues. Quartz Crystal

Quartz Crystal

ultimately acts as a “cleaining stone “. It will ensure that we rid ourselves of the “unconscious” ballast and recognize our spiritual potential. Once we recognise this force, the quartz crystal will open the gate of “awakening” and we break the being on a higher level of consciousness.
